PSHE

PSHE Overview

During PSHE learners are focusing on social emotional learning. Learners will develop a range of skills including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making and relationship skills.

Learners will also focus on careers education exploring career possibilities, creating opportunities, managing a career, creating a balance between life and work and growing throughout life.

Learners will have a physical exercise book that will serve as a journal to record their learning journey from one key stage to the next. In addition, Learners will create a Unifrog online profile where they can complete quizzes and access an extensive library of resources beyond the school day.

All this will equip them with 21st century skills that will serve them well during their education and holistic development.

Student feedback:

"Thinking about my future is sometimes overwhelming...but it was really helpful to have so many people to talk to and learn from who have real-life experience of the different paths I am thinking about. I have found Unifrog to be very engaging, relevant and invaluable in my learning journey. I highly recommend students to record observations in their learning journal during class sessions and I would strongly recommend they work on their online profiles from one year to the next. The PSHE curriculum at Westside will open doors for you that you never even knew existed!" - Current A-level Student at Westside
