Careers Advice

Westside School runs a number of initiatives to support pupils to choose the right career pathway for them. Preparation for these choices is interwoven into the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 PSHE curriculum.

In Year 12, pupils attend a 3-day event, Future Pathways, that enables them to explore different career pathways through talks, workshops and discussions. In addition, the school has a strong partnership with the Youth Service who administer the website www.careers.gi. Here, pupils can delve into the world of different careers, as well as access information on opportunities for employment and internships.
